
Fill out the following form to check your eligibility for this program. Your answer must be “yes” to at least one of these questions for your business to be eligible for the Energy Cost Savings Program.
Is your business moving from outside New York City, or out of Manhattan south of 96th Street, Long Island City (Queens) or Fulton Ferry (Brooklyn) to another area of New York City? *
Have or will you renovate or make improvements to your building by at least 30% of its assessed value? *
Have you applied, or will you apply, to the New York City Industrial and Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP) or Industrial Commercial Incentive Program (ICIP)? *
Have you applied, or will you apply to the New York City Industrial Development Agency (NYCIDA), and make renovations and improvements to a building by at least 10% of assessed value? *
Will you lease and manage a building owned by the City of New York or New York State (Empire State Development Corporation), and make renovations of at least 10% of property's assessed value? *
Will your business move into a building that has already been approved for ECSP benefits? Buildings approved by ECSP are called Special Eligible Premises (SEP). If your business moves into a SEP, you might be eligible to receive ECSP benefits for up to 12 years. As a new tenant in a SEP, you must apply within 120 days of signing a lease. For an existing tenant, you must apply within 120 days of the building being designated a SEP by SBS. Other criteria may apply. *
